The M-CAN connector connects the Motoscope Speedo and fits straight into the OBD (data link interface/on-board diagnostic port) plug, which is normally used to read-out throuble codes on 04-11 HD-models with 3-pin connector. You will not trigger any trouble codes. Note: Will feed speed, RPM and trouble codes only. Other indicator lights must be taken from the bike's wiring harness. Note: Not compatible with CAN-bus (HD-lan) models.

With 5/8-18 threaded speedo cable connector. For your reference only: For identification purposes only we have named the earlier 'FL style' speedo­meter faces with 'model years'. These may not accurately represent actual model years and are for use as reference only. Most FL type speedometers are available with K.M.H. or M.P.H faces. All speedometers from the '36-40' face to the '00-03' face styles feature same dimensions and fit the FL, FLH, Fat Bob, FLST, FXST etc. tank mounted style dash. Note that a small modification to the dash, to fit the re-set knob correctly, may be required. 2:1 ratio is suitable for most front wheel drive, 1:1 drive ratio is suitable for most transmission drive models. 84-95 Softail models may have a different 2.24:1 ratio, of which there are listed a few speedometers. Includes a Reed wheel sensor with 1.5m cable for the speedometer function in custom applications, although the Motoscope is compatible with, and can be connected to, most stock speedo sensors that might already be in use on the bike. Can be used in many custom applications since this electronic speedometer can be used with inductive and Hall-effect sensors with npn output but also Reed-sensors and induction sensors (VRS). The speedo can be manually calibrated by entering a known number of sensor pulses or automatically by riding a certain distance. You will need 1 push-button switch (included) to calibrate the speedo and to switch the LCD screen between distance, trip meter and clock.
